corn

Every mom needs a little keep your toddler busy activity. When Micah was Livia's age I filled up an under the bed storage bin with rice and gave him some measuring cups to play with. I remembered this the other day when I was trying to get some important admin work done and thought how nice it would be to have such a thing right now.

So, I decided to make a Fall themed sensory experience and it turned out to be a really big hit! I found some amazing ideas from pinterest and just went from there.
We happened to be in a small farming town for the weekend and I picked up some chicken feed to fill the bin up.....50 pounds of chicken feed is all they had! So, just let me know if you need some chicken feed and I'll hook you right up!
The kids have been asking for corn every day since we put it together. It's so fun to pour and mix and measure.
I ended up making one for Micah's preschool class and apparently it's been very popular! Micah's teacher told me that kids were lining up to play with it and the best part was how much pride Micah took in it.

Such a fun and easy Fall project!
