Recently we were driving home from a playdate and Micah says we NEED to go to Starbucks. I had mentioned earlier that day that it would be nice to get some coffee later. I forgot about it and started driving home. All of a sudden Micah says, Mommy! We need to go to Starbucks. I will get my milk and you will get your coffee and then we will sit in the chair and drink it together.
Ever have one of those moments when you realize how important those little rituals (however mundane) are to your child?
Makes me stop and think about how important it is to build rituals and traditions into our lives that focus on our Creator and living life with Him. I hope that 10 years from now Starbucks is not all he remembers.
