Our Little Greaser

The other night I gave Micah a bath and then greased him up real good with some baby oil. I accidentally rubbed a little oil in his hair so I couldn't resist styling it and taking a picture. What a heart breaker!


Micah just recently had his 6 month check up. He has nearly doubled his birth weight, weighing in at 15 pounds, 10 ounces! He is growing like crazy and I can barely keep up with him! He has started saying dadadada (Chris LOVES this!) and various other babbles. He usually talks a lot before bedtime and in the morning right when he wakes up. It's pretty cute! Lately he has been very intrigued by looking in the mirror. He tries to kiss the 'other' baby and usually ends up bumping his head.

We recently started offering cheerios to Micah and he absolutely LOVES them! The only problem is that he can't exactly grasp them well enough to get them in his mouth. So, our little genius has found a way to make it happen. He smothers his face on the tray and then tries to get cheerios stuck on his face. Once they are stuck to his face he proceeds to shove them into his mouth. It's quite humorous! I think he could stay entertained as long as there are cheerios around.

Micah has become quite fond of creeping (commando crawl) around. He hasn't really gotten the hang of crawling yet, but the creeping is out of control! Yesterday I found him pulling up onto my box of pictures, etc. He can also somehow pull up to a sitting position in his crib , so we had to lower it last night. Oddly enough he slept through the night. Maybe he burned all his energy creeping around the house!
