I have to give a shout out to one of my best friends, Corrie Casey, who made the long, exhausting trip from Phoenix to New Haven to see our little bundle just 2 weeks after he was born. Corrie is a pediatric nurse and has been such a great support for me during these first few months. She's not afraid to answer those tough questions, like, "what about the green poo?" and, "is that really what the umbilical stump should look like?" Seriously, everybody needs a good friend who is willing to come in after the parents and spoil you just a little bit longer.
I have always admired Corrie; her relentless desire to pursue a life of god
liness and integrity has inspired me. I know that I can always count on her to ask me the tough questions. The trials she has faced have given her wisdom beyond her years and an ability to see life for what it really is. I am truly thankful to have her as a friend and now as an "honorary Auntie" to Micah.
