It's been awhile since I posted an official update on Micah. I used to be really good about recording his milestones and growth, but lately he has been like a blur and it's really hard to keep track of it all! I thought that one day it would be so much fun for him to look back on this blog and see his life through the lens of his mama, but lately there just hasn't been as much time. I keep saying that things will slow down, but who am I kidding??! It just gets crazier every day (all you moms out there know what I'm talkin about!). The great thing about it though is that it gets funner every day too. We are truly enjoying this stage of life that Micah is in and from it we have learned so much. I love the way Micah just expresses himself without any inhibitions. When he is excited he screams with delight and sometimes clenches his fists together and holds his breath (I'll try to get that one on video sometime soon!). It's pretty cute. When he's tired he lets us know and when he's upset he definitely let us know. He is bubbling over with energy that cannot be contained. Each morning when he wakes up he babbles for awhile and then wakes up and plays for a few hours before going down for a 2-3 hour nap. His play consists of roaming around the apartment; walking over to the apartment door and yelling out into the hallway; an occasional escape from the apartment and wandering into Mark and Bin's room across the hall; climbing into chairs; banging on laptops; lifting the toilet seat and splashing (when the lid doesn't have the safety on it); banging on pots and pans; going downstairs to chat with Beth and play in her kitchen; crawling up to the table and sitting on top; screaming like a terradactyl; looking out his window and yelling at the children below and then repeating all of the above before finally crashing at the end of the night. Oh! And I forgot to mention his new nightly ritual. Kevin time. He loves Kevin from Kenya. Kevin from Kenya takes him every night after dinner and they walk around outside gathering leaves to bring back to all the guys and proudly display them.
Micah has also started to speak all of a sudden! I am amazed at how quickly he started talking. He easily says 15 words and counting! Some of his favorites are apple, nose, ears, nana (banana), shoes!!!, please, thank you, more, mommy, daddy, doggy, baf (for bath), no no no!, yes (on occassion), hi!, bye!, this. . . this. . . .this. He just surprises me every day!
I could go on for a really long time, but you get the idea. . . . . .he's growing like a weed!
Looking out the window (sorry for the bad pic)
Playing in the Prudential Garden
Another Roof BBQ with "Bef" and Kyle

Life with a toddler is a continuous adventure.
