Mother's Day was so much fun this year! Micah was so excited to give me something special that was made at school. It was a sweet little gift and I can't describe how much joy it brings me to get something made by him, even if it's out of cardboard and construction paper. I never understood why my parents loved the handmade gifts so much. Now I know. I think the best part was the anticipation of giving the gift. Micah could not wait to give me my gift and his little eyes just lit up when he handed it to me.
Not the greatest photo of us, but you can see the proud look on Micah's face and that says it all. I got flowers from my sweet boy on Mother's Day!
We were blessed to have Chris's mom visiting for Mother's Day too! We took her out for a brunch at our favorite breakfast spot and then headed over to the Arboretum to see the beautiful flowers in bloom! Here are a few pics from that.
Would have been a better picture if the sun hadn't been so bright here!
I don't know what I'm doing with the knee pop. Just go with it.
I got to finish off the evening with these two lovely Mamas! They will both be leaving Boston (one to Los Angeles and the other to Madison, WI) and they will be greatly missed!
These are two of my first girlfriends in Boston and they took me in as one of their own. Whatever will I do without them?
That about sums it up! Mother's Day was a wonderful celebration this year and I look forward to many more!
