It's been awhile since my last post, so I am going to play catch up and write about the rest of October and into November.
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to run in the Boston Mayor's Cup. It was a 5K race and I had a blast doing it! Up until a few years ago I have never really been a runner, so this was a great accomplishment for me! Moreover, whenever I run it's usually only 2-2.5 miles maximum. My goal was to run this race in 30min or less. I came in at a little over 31min, so I was happy with it. Toward the end of the race I was thrown off course so I like to think that I would've come in at 30min had I been directed in the right way!! To some of you seasoned runners out there this might seem like a walk in the park, but for me it was a big deal and I'm happy to have completed my first race!
Chris, Micah and some of our good friends were there to cheer me on. It was a fabulous day for running and I look forward to next year!
Here is a picture of the fam after the race. It was taken on my cell phone because our camera died, so it's not great:

Congratulations girl! You should be proud! Running is a hard thing to start and stick with. Especially when you were never were a runner. I think Paul wishes I would do a race with him every weekend :) I am still waiting on some giraffe pics....!
great job!
You should be VERY proud! Just keep it up--my philosophy on running "it hurts but it doesn't hurt worse...it just hurts the same til you're done.":)
